I listened to them for the first time today. My reaction: “What the hell is this?” They’re from South Africa and they look/sound weird. And? Most of their songs are straight overhyped garbage (the one exception being Diplo’s take on “Evil Boy” which I’m convinced is thanks to Diplo and not to the group itself).

For their 40th wedding anniversary, my parents took a two-week cross-country-and-back train trip. It’s probably the last longish trip they’ll ever take together, not for any morbid reason but because they couldn’t stand each other’s company. If I’m ever blessed to be with the same person for 40 years, I hope our relationship isn’t anything like theirs.
