the phenomenon of most white and/or young people disembarking the Washington Metro on the orange and blue lines before heading east of the Anacostia River towards the predominately black areas of DC and the Maryland suburbs
Example: I was able to get a seat on the Metro after all the hipsters and yuppies got off in the Eastern Market exodus.
